Public Sound Baths & Events

NTM Sound has facilitated public sound baths, sound meditations, and deep listening experiences in yoga studios, meditation spaces, raw performance spaces, and other public venues. Each setting is transformed into a listening environment where participants can explore sound as a tool for mindfulness, rest, and reflection.

Public offerings are shared when available. In the meantime, private sessions and corporate workshops continue to be available, and NTM Sound’s recordings offer another way to experience the work independently.

In 2014, I launched the first monthly sound bath program in New York City at the Brooklyn Zen Center in Gowanus, followed shortly by a program at Sky Ting in Manhattan. Over the years, I facilitated regularly at both locations, as well as at MNDFL studios across the city, spending countless hours introducing this work to people from all over the world.

Public offerings have included sound baths, sound meditations, and sound design experiences, held in yoga and meditation studios, raw performance spaces, and other public venues. Each setting was transformed into a deep listening environment—giving participants the opportunity to explore the effects and benefits of sound as a tool for mindfulness and therapeutic support.

When offering sound baths and sound meditations in physical spaces, the environment is just as essential as the instruments. The physics of sound play a key role in the experience, allowing listeners to tune into the spatial movement of sound waves—around the room, around the body, and, with low frequencies, even through the body. Deep listening in these environments engages not only the auditory system, but the entire physical being.
