Sound Bath Facilitation Training Weekends
In-person intensives exploring the world of sound through listening, discipline, and awareness.
A Grounded Approach to Sound Facilitation
Designed as an immersive space for hands-on learning, these in-person training weekends offer the opportunity to work directly with instruments, explore facilitation in real time, and receive individualized guidance and feedback on your practice.
The in-person training weekends extend the principles of NTM Sound’s online Sound Facilitation Program into an in-person setting, with an emphasis on perceptual listening, technical fluency, thoughtful instrument use, and responsible facilitation. Students have space to experiment, ask questions, refine technique, and work directly with me in ways that are difficult to replicate through online study alone.
These weekends are designed to support and deepen the online programs rather than replace them, and are open to both current students and those who have not taken the program. Whether you are new to sound facilitation or have an established practice, the seminars provide a focused environment for exploration, practice, and individual support—meeting each participant at their level of experience.

A NOTE FROM NATE:
There are aspects of sound facilitation that can be studied through reading, listening, and reflection. Others can only be understood through direct experience—how an instrument responds to touch, how sound moves through a room, how dynamics affect perception, and when it is more effective to leave space than to add more.
I created these in-person weekends to give participants a place to explore those details through practice. The focus is on working directly with instruments, listening closely, asking questions, experimenting, and receiving feedback in real time. Rather than prescribing a single approach, my goal is to help each participant develop greater awareness, technical fluency, and confidence in the choices they make as a facilitator.
These weekends are designed to complement the deeper educational foundation of the online Sound Facilitation Program, not replace it. Whether you are currently enrolled, considering the program, or already have experience facilitating sound, the intention is to provide a focused environment where you can slow down, refine your practice, and learn through direct engagement.
